If we use technology thoughtfully, it does not replace mathematical thinking. It depends on purpose and the skill of integration. Of course, we teach mathematics in mathematics classes, not technology; don’t doubt that. But you may be wondering, then what do I mean? For instance, if you are using GeoGebra to make an abstract and complex concept visual, I think technology helps us teach better than not using it. If I want to review key concepts after a lesson or check prerequisite knowledge, Kahoot quizzes may help make it interactive and fun. So integrating technology is not a fashion, and it should not be used just to show you are on the front line of the AI-era education system. It is really about knowing the usefulness and being purposeful while using them.
